Neos is seeking a Principal Cloud & AI Platform Architect for a long-term contract with our client in Austin, TX.

The cloud architect is responsible for the cloud computing initiatives within an organization and for directing the architectural aspects of a cloud brokering team across all aspects of IT and the business. Responsible for the planning and engineering of an organization's cloud computing infrastructure and applications. Implements and designs hardware and software. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures of cloud technology, including Software as Service (SaaS), Platform as Service (PaaS), or Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS).
Supports a regulated, multi-cloud enterprise environment, requiring expertise in data/AI platforms, vendor coordination, monitoring, and 247 operations, while ensuring security, compliance, and system reliability.
II. CANDIDATE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications
8+ years of experience designing and supporting multi-cloud environments, specifically Azure and Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).
8+ years of experience with enterprise AI and Generative AI platforms, including Gemini and Vertex AI.
Extensive experience with Azure Monitor, Azure Log Analytics, Google Cloud Platform Cloud Monitoring, and enterprise logging frameworks to monitor performance, reliability, and usage.
Strong experience using Logstash for log ingestion, transformation, and integration with Azure Log Analytics to support proactive monitoring and alerting.
Experience designing and implementing alerting solutions using Twilio (SMS and voice) for operational notifications and ETL failure management.
Hands-on experience with Blob Storage, Data Lakes, and structured storage platforms supporting analytics and AI workloads.
Experience supporting enterprise data pipelines, data platforms, and analytics environments.
Experience with Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS), Secure Agents, APIs, and integration patterns.
Strong understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM), least-privilege security models, network security, audit logging, and compliance requirements within regulated environments.
Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve Tier 2 and Tier 3 production issues, including platform access problems, log analysis, and operational stability concerns.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience building and administering Tableau Cloud environments.
Experience integrating ArcGIS or other geospatial data platforms with cloud-based data ecosystems.
Knowledge of Python, Bash, and automation technologies, including serverless architectures and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with Kubernetes platforms such as GKE and AKS, as well as Docker and microservices-based architectures.
Familiarity with data mesh concepts, ETL/ELT architectures, API integrations, and enterprise data standards.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess platform issues, make architectural decisions, and drive resolution in high-pressure environments.
Demonstrated ownership of platform reliability, stability, and operational excellence.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language.
Proven ability to collaborate and lead cross-functional teams across engineering, infrastructure, data, security, and business organizations.
