Position OverviewInnovative Medicine Transcend is a global business transformation program that will modernize our foundational Supply chain processes and harmonize them into one "clean" ERP as a standardized platform (S4 Hana) for growth and efficiency gains.
The program will simplify the Pharm ERP landscape from 7 to 1, standardizing processes in order to have a cost effective, fit for purpose digital backbone that will enable us to support the Pharm business with agility. Additionally, the program will remediate the end-of-life system exposure that we risk towards the end of this decade.
The IM IT Compliance Senior Manager, (IM TRANSCEND) is accountable for defining and driving the end-to-end IT and compliance strategy for the IM TRANSCEND program, a multi-year, multi-release SAP S/4HANA transformation across the Innovative Medicines supply chain.
This role ensures a cohesive and integrated compliance approach across IT ICFR, application controls, and data integrity, enabling consistent risk management from solution design through deployment and audit.
Acting as the senior IT compliance partner to program, the role shapes compliance requirements early in design and solution discussions to influence architecture, control design, and delivery outcomes.
The role ensures strong alignment between IT and Finance compliance perspectives, coordinating closely with ICFR compliance leadership to maintain a holistic, end-to-end control framework.
Reporting to the Director, this position provides strategic direction, oversight, and escalation across releases, while guiding and overseeing program-level compliance execution through embedded managers and teams.
Responsibilities - Define and own the overall IT and compliance strategy for the IM TRANSCEND program, ensuring alignment with program ICFR, SOX, and ITframeworks.
- Establish an integrated, end-to-end risk and control model that aligns IT application controls with ICFR requirements
- Provide senior-level IT compliance leadership across all IM TRANSCEND releases, ensuring consistency of approach across geographies, waves, and solution components.
- Act as a strategic compliance advisor to program leadership, IT and JJT stakeholders, participating in pre-design, solution, and architecture discussions to shape compliant outcomes.
- Ensure effective coordination and alignment with ISRM, User Access Management, and IT Security teams on access governance, segregation of duties, and identity-related risks.
- Oversee and guide the design principles for SAP configurations, interfaces, WRICEF objects, workflows, and system-enabled controls from an IT compliance perspective
- Ensure that ITand ICFR risks are assessed holistically, with clear ownership, traceability, and mitigation across integrated business processes and technologies.
- Provide direction and oversight to program IT compliance managers and resources, ensuring effective execution of risk assessments, control design, testing strategies, and remediation activities.
- Partner closely with the Senior Manager / leadership responsible for ICFR compliance to ensure a cohesive and non-duplicative compliance approach across the program
- Define expectations for UAT, IT SOX testing, and control validation strategies at the program level, ensuring alignment with audit and regulatory expectations.
- Serve as the senior point of escalation and engagement for Internal and External Audit on IT technology, and IT compliance topics for IM TRANSCEND.
- Monitor program-level compliance risks, trends, and dependencies, proactively identifying systemic issues and driving resolution to protect program outcomes and audit readiness.
Qualifications- Required Minimum Education of University degree in Information Systems, Accounting, Finance Computer science or related fields.
- Previous experience in IT Compliance roles within a significant SAP implementation is highly recommended.
- 8-10+ years' experience
- Proven experience defining IT compliance strategy for complex multi release ERP transformation programs
- Working knowledge of SOX 404 as it applies to IT systems and ERP platforms
- Experience engaging at a senior level with program leadership, IT, Finance ISRM etc. to influence design, architecture and control decisions.
- Ability to proactively identify and mitigate IT /ERP risks.
- Solid understanding of SAP S/4HANA environments
- Demonstrated capability to lead and oversee compliance execution, providing direction, challenge and escalation while remaining hands-on at strategical level.
- Experience working in a complex, multi-ERP / system environment. Experience with SAP S4 Hana preferred.
- People management skills and ability to collaborate in a highly matrixed environment is required.
