Detailed Job Description
We are seeking an experienced DB2 Database Administrator (DB2 LUW) to manage, maintain, and optimize enterprise database environments on Linux platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in DB2 administration, database performance tuning, disaster recovery, security, data modeling, and database maintenance. Experience with Linux administration, SQL, and shell scripting is essential.
Key Responsibilities
· Install, configure, upgrade, and administer IBM DB2 LUW databases on Linux servers.
· Configure and manage High Availability Disaster Recovery (HADR) environments.
· Implement database security using DB2 Native Encryption and IBM Guardium.
· Manage database authentication, authorization, and access control.
· Monitor database health and optimize performance using tools such as db2expln, db2advis, db2top, db2diag, and db2pd.
· Perform database backup, recovery, log management, and restoration from full and incremental backups.
· Manage tablespaces, buffer pools, storage allocation, and capacity planning.
