Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Oracle Project Costing Consultant with strong expertise in Oracle Fusion Cloud Project Costing and hands-on experience delivering end-to-end Oracle Cloud implementations.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of project costing, project accounting, cost collection, cost allocation, burdening, accounting, and integration with other Oracle Cloud modules. The consultant will work closely with business stakeholders, functional teams, technical teams, and implementation partners to analyze requirements, design solutions, configure Oracle Project Costing, support testing, and drive successful implementation and deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead functional activities for Oracle Fusion Cloud Project Costing implementations.
- Gather and analyze business requirements related to project costing and project accounting.
- Conduct requirement workshops with business users and stakeholders.
- Translate business requirements into Oracle Cloud Project Costing solutions.
- Configure Oracle Project Costing based on business and accounting requirements.
- Define and configure project costing structures, transaction sources, expenditure types, expenditure categories, and related project costing components.
- Configure and support cost collection and cost processing from various source systems.
- Design and configure project cost allocation and distribution processes.
- Configure burdening and burden schedules based on business requirements.
- Support project cost accounting and integration with Oracle General Ledger.
- Work with related Oracle modules including Project Management, General Ledger, Payables, Receivables, Procurement, and Fixed Assets where applicable.
- Analyze and resolve project costing, accounting, and transaction-processing issues.
- Define project-related accounting rules and validate accounting distributions.
- Support integration requirements between Oracle Project Costing and third-party/source applications.
- Work with technical teams on inbound and outbound integrations, interfaces, APIs, and data conversions.
- Participate in data migration activities, including mapping, validation, reconciliation, and conversion of project costing data.
- Develop functional specifications for reports, integrations, conversions, extensions, and workflows.
- Support configuration of project costing processes across different business units and legal entities.
- Define and execute functional test scenarios and test scripts.
- Support SIT, UAT, regression testing, and production validation.
- Investigate defects and coordinate resolution with technical and cross-functional teams.
- Perform end-to-end testing of project costing and accounting flows.
- Support month-end and period-close activities related to project costing.
- Prepare functional documentation, configuration documents, process flows, and user guides.
- Provide training and knowledge transfer to business users and support teams.
- Support cutover, go-live, and post-production stabilization activities.
- Work with project managers and stakeholders to track implementation deliverables and resolve project risks/issues.
Required Skills & Experience
- 8+ years of Oracle ERP/Oracle Financials experience, with significant hands-on experience in Project Costing.
- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud Project Costing.
- Proven experience delivering end-to-end Oracle Cloud/Fusion implementations.

- Experience with project-related accounting and integration with Oracle General Ledger.
- Strong understanding of Oracle Financials business processes.
- Experience working with Oracle Project Management and related Oracle Cloud modules.
- Experience with Oracle Cloud integrations and upstream/downstream systems.
- Ability to create functional specifications and work effectively with technical developers.
- Strong experience with functional testing and defect management.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Preferred Experience
· Experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials implementations.
· Experience with Oracle Project Management.
· Experience integrating Project Costing with General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Procurement, Fixed Assets, Time & Labor, and Payroll.
· Experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC).
· Knowledge of Oracle REST/SOAP APIs and integration technologies.
· Experience with FBDI and other Oracle Cloud data-loading/conversion mechanisms.
· Experience with Oracle OTBI and BI Publisher reporting.
· Experience supporting complex enterprise implementations.
· Experience working in Agile/Scrum implementation environments.
· Strong documentation and stakeholder-management skills.
