Job Description/ Responsibilities
Product & Interface Strategy: Architect the user journey for complex, end-to-end internal applications. You will take ownership of the UX for major platform features, ensuring they are intuitive and resilient to user error.
Frontend-Aligned Design: Design responsive, highly interactive, and accessible UIs. You will work closely with engineers to ensure designs account for complex global states and performance optimization.
Information Architecture: Design robust flows for procurement data. You will architect how users navigate high-density enterprise information, making it scannable and actionable.
AI Interaction Design (AWS Bedrock Integration): Design the "Human-in-the-Loop" patterns for our AI features. You will create the UI that helps users trust and verify AI-generated procurement suggestions and RAG-driven insights.
Systems Thinking: Maintain and evolve our internal design system. You will ensure that AI-assisted workflows feel like a natural, cohesive extension of the Rivian digital ecosystem.
AI-Assisted Design: Utilize modern AI design tools to accelerate the generation of variants and assets, while focusing your human
Experience: 5+ years of Product Design experience, specifically within B2B SaaS, Fintech, or complex internal enterprise tools.
Architecture Focus: You possess the ability to simplify massive data sets and multi-step manual processes into clean, automated paths.
Collaborative Mindset: You work seamlessly with engineers, understanding that the best designs are those that are safely and effectively deployed.
Top skills required for this role:
Design Tools: Mastery of Figma, including advanced prototyping and design system management.
Frontend Literacy: A deep understanding of React/TypeScript capabilities so your designs are technically feasible and "developer-ready."
AI UX Frameworks: Experience designing for LLM interactions (handling latency, showing AI "thought processes," and providing feedback loops).
Prototyping: Proficiency in tools like Protopie, Framer, or high-fidelity Figma prototyping to demonstrate multi-step agentic logic.
Testing: Experience collaborating on usability testing and using feedback to iterate on complex enterprise tools.
