Position: Systems Engineer (3 OPENINGS)

Location: Huntsville, Alabama (3 days in office; 2 days remote)

Clearance: Candidates must be able and willing to obtain a Secret clearance

MUST HAVE:

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
• Bachelor's & 5+ years of experience with systems design, integration, and testing activities
• Experience with Cameo and SysML
• Experience with design & gate process; PDR or CDR or FRR
• Background in Aerospace and/or Mechanical environments

Role Overview

An opportunity is available to combine technical skills with big-picture thinking to impact national security. The role involves understanding the customer's environment and developing systems for their mission. As a Systems Engineer, you will lead the technical development and integration of complex systems, translating real-world needs into technical specifications to deliver customer-focused engineering solutions. You will create, integrate, and apply interdisciplinary digital models of systems from concept through the product lifecycle in support of hypersonic testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply functional, working, and general industry knowledge to contribute to solutions for a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity.
• Work independently with some guidance and may review or guide the activities of junior employees.
• Lead the technical development and integration of defense-related systems.
• Create, integrate, and apply interdisciplinary digital models of systems throughout the product lifecycle.
• Conduct system-level trade studies to identify and balance conflicting requirements.
• Oversee the delivery of complex aerospace hardware from concept to test.

Required Qualifications

Technical Skills: Experience delivering complex aerospace hardware and conducting system-level trade studies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Secret clearance
• Experience with requirements derivation, definition, validation, and verification.
• Experience with a gated design review process.
• Knowledge of Systems Modeling Language (SysML) or Unified Modeling Language (UML).
• Knowledge of requirement management tools, such as DOORS or JAMA.
• Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering.
