We are seeking for a Mechanical Design Engineer based in Belluno, Italy to design and engineering of plastic enclosures for electronic products in the commercial refrigeration and HVAC sector, within a multinational environment with ongoing collaboration with teams across Europe, the United States, and Asia.

Salary: 26-36k

Key responsibilities of the role:
  • Design and development of plastic enclosures via injection moulding
  • 3D CAD modelling and creation/maintenance of 2D technical drawings
  • DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and DFA (Design for Assembly) optimisation
  • Technical interface with suppliers (mould makers, plastic moulders, screen printing and pad printing suppliers)
  • Evaluation of technical solutions and mould proposals
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams (Hardware, Technical Documentation, Marketing, Manufacturing, Quality)
  • Support for product validation through mechanical testing and reporting in English
  • Contribution to continuous improvement and innovation initiatives

Required qualifications and experience:

Technical Requirements
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Design (or equivalent experience)
  • 1-3 years experience in mechanical product design, plastic parts for injection moulding, and product industrialisation
  • Knowledge of injection moulding constraints and best practices
  • Ability to analyse and evaluate mould design concepts
  • Strong proficiency in 3D CAD (Solid Edge preferred; NX or Creo accepted), with advanced skills in parametric modelling, assembly management, and 2D technical drawing
  • Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite
  • English at beginner/intermediate level; fluent or native Italian

  • Knowledge of regulations and standards for electronic product enclosures
