A leading medical technology company is seeking a DevOps / Embedded Software Engineer for a contract opportunity in Danvers, MA. This is a 3-day-per-week onsite position supporting the development and deployment of advanced medical device software. The role will focus on CI/CD, DevOps tooling, embedded software development, and automation using technologies including GitLab, Jenkins, C, Python, Bash, Linux/QNX, Jira, and JAMA.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who wants to work at the intersection of DevOps, embedded software, and medical technology. The ideal candidate will have the technical depth to architect and improve CI/CD pipelines while also working closely with software and embedded engineering teams.
Required Skills & Experience
B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or another engineering discipline, or equivalent experience
Strong experience designing, implementing, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines
Hands-on experience with GitLab and Jenkins
Strong programming/scripting experience with C, Python, and Bash
Experience with Linux, QNX, or other Unix-like operating systems
Experience with DevOps tools for CI/CD, infrastructure management, logging, compliance, and security scanning
Experience architecting scalable and reliable software deployment solutions
Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis experience
Experience identifying process gaps and implementing technical improvements
