Job Summary

Responsible for a variety of video production processes including preproduction/planning, storyboarding, scriptwriting, lighting/grip, and video and audio recording techniques, in the studio and in the field. Responsible for conceptualizing, developing, and creating multimedia content to produce internal and external videos with attention to detail, using technical expertise.

Essential Functions

Design - Create and deliver video works including videography editing and finalization/releasing. Consult with requestors to determine project needs. Develop a project plan, write and/or edit scripts (when appropriate), storyboard (when appropriate), shoot and edit a completed video. Deliver timely solutions in the appropriate mediums and aligned with Institute standards to requestors. Maintain project files for future use. Steward the Institute's name, logo, brand and image.

Equipment Usage and Maintenance - Maintenance and upkeep of AV equipment inventory, asset management, media production equipment and facilities as well as fixed AV installations. May purchase equipment and supplies. Maintain company video libraries.

Project Management - Manage all projects from conception to delivery to ensure the production of the highest quality product, including assuming responsibility for completion to all project specifications.

Customer Service - Use a customer service-focused approach for all interactions and tasks.

Non-Essential Functions

Undertake those activities that advance the team, complete departmental work orders and other paperwork, and steward Institute equipment to preserve the useful life of such equipment.
Responsible for routinely checking email correspondence and associated attachments. Other duties as assigned.

Education
High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience

Minimum of 4 years' experience with all types of photographic and video equipment required. Alternatively, a bachelor's degree in videography, photography or related field with no experience will be considered.

Certifications & Licensures

No certifications or licensures required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Demonstrated proficiency in computer use and knowledge of computer applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email, internet use).
Demonstrated proficiency in the use of professional video cameras and still SLR type cameras.
Demonstrate the post-production process which entails digital video editing, still and motion graphics design, and video compression for multiple delivery.
Ability to optimize videos for social media reels and YouTube, including the crafting of compelling video titles, descriptions, and thumbnails.
Proficiency with Macintosh and Windows OS.
Demonstrated proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere Pro, After Effects and Photoshop, or other video-editing software.
Demonstrate proficiency of video production process including preproduction/planning, storyboarding, scriptwriting, lighting/grip, and video and audio recording techniques, in the studio and in the field
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence; ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume; ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists; ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
