Rockmart Fuel Containment is seeking an AR&T Engineer. The AR&T Engineer provides expertise in designing and developing materials and processes for existing and new products and acts as a lead to provide expertise on a variety of complex issues. The position also has a direct impact on all aspects of safety, quality, cost, delivery, and innovation and growth. Must be U.S. Persons.

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations.
  • 5+ years of experience in preferred in mechanical, industrial or other aerospace related engineering.
    Excellent knowledge of applied mathematics.
  • Demonstrated understanding of materials and processes.
  • Excellent ability to apply a systematic, disciplined, and analytical approach to problem solving.
  • Ability to explain a range of complex technical information.
  • Ability to use existing procedures to solve problems.
  • Ability to research and analyze data effectively.
  • Ability to gather data, to compile information, and prepare reports.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, and ability to multi-task.
  • Strong prioritization skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and web-browsers.
  • Ability to build partnerships and work collaboratively with other to meet shared objectives.
  • Ability to consistently achieve results, even under tough circumstances.
  • Excellent decision making
  • Understanding and ability to perform physical and performance properties testing of elastomers and textiles

  • Acting as a lead, designs and develops new materials and manufacturing processes. Provides solutions enabling cost reduction, process efficiency, and operational excellence. Partners with cross-functional teams to ensure quality and regulatory compliance.
  • Oversees all phases of materials and process engineering, including design, equipment selection and procurement, managing vendors, and running trials for new processes and equipment.
  • Provides innovative chemical/material engineering solutions to support business development activities. Continuously evaluates opportunities for design and development improvements.
  • Performs additional responsibilities as assigned.
