How you'll make an impact in this role- Enterprise AI security strategy: Define and drive the organization's AI security strategy, establishing enterprise standards, policies, and guiding principles for secure AI use across the full lifecycle (including design, development, validation, deployment, approval, and ongoing use)
- AI security tooling: Lead the evaluation, selection, implementation, and ongoing operation of AI security tooling to provide scalable risk visibility across AI systems, cloud environments, and underlying data
- Operationalization of controls: Drive implementation and adoption of AI security controls by embedding monitoring, governance, and guardrails into organizational workflows and processes, ensuring alignment with healthcare regulatory and data protection requirements (e.g., HIPAA)
- AI risk assessment and guardrails: Assess AI-related risks-including model misuse, data exposure, and adversarial threats-and apply established frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST AI RMF, OWASP Top 10 for LLMs) to define actionable controls, guardrails, and security requirements
- Cross-functional security partnership: Partner closely with Security Architecture, Application Security, and offensive security teams to design and validate AI security controls, support evaluation of AI use cases, and incorporate insights from red teaming and penetration testing activities
What minimum requirements you'll needEducation:
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. 2 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
What additional preferences we're seeking- Experience and background: 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity, including hands-on experience in AI/ML security, risk, or compliance, along with experience in cybersecurity or technology consulting (e.g., Big 4 or similar) supporting enterprise risk and large-scale technology implementations
- AI, cloud, and data security knowledge: Strong understanding of AI/ML systems, associated security risks, and applicable frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST AI RMF, OWASP Top 10 for LLMs), combined with advanced understanding of cloud security and data protection principles as they apply to AI workloads
- Credentials and advanced expertise: Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCSP, CISM, or AI-focused credentials) and/or an advanced degree in Cybersecurity, AI, or a related technical field
