Summary

The Role:

Debtwire, a leading provider of global fixed income news, analysis and data for more than two decades, is looking for a reporter eager to break news in the North American credit market.

Working on the news desk in New York with sweeping views of Central Park, candidates will be expected to generate scoops on stressed and distressed companies as part of a team of journalists and credit and legal analysts. While we provide extensive market training on the job, the ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of finance and previous journalism experience.

Debtwire journalists are expected to use their own initiative to uncover leads from market sources at investment funds, law firms, advisory shops and beyond. They also extensively collaborate with colleagues. We are looking for candidates with at least one year of experience working at a financial news outlet or internships at top tier publications.

The position offers opportunities for travel and moderating at industry conferences.

  • An understanding of fixed income markets, a strong grasp of and an interest in the broader financial and legal markets.

$80,000 - $130,000 a year

Salary Range and benefits:

The estimated salary range is $80,000 - $130,000. Salary is negotiable depending on experience and skills.
