A Sr. Design Engineer opportunity is available in San Leandro, CA. This is a full-time, direct opportunity with benefits.

The Senior Design Engineer (onsite in San Leandro, CA) is a senior-level role requiring 7+ years of hands-on mechanical design experience, a 4-year degree (typically in Mechanical Engineering or a related field), and proven expertise in PTC Creo for 3D modeling and parametric design, along with Windchill for product data management, BOM creation, and revision control.

The primary responsibilities include leading the mechanical design process-from concept development through detailed component and assembly modeling-to producing precise manufacturing drawings, GD&T application, and ensuring designs meet performance, manufacturability, and quality standards.
In this position, you will mentor and guide a team of less experienced engineers, providing technical direction, reviewing work, and fostering skill development to deliver high-quality project outcomes on schedule.

The role demands strong customer-facing skills, including direct interaction with clients to understand requirements, present design concepts, incorporate feedback, and support design reviews or technical discussions.

Overall, this is an onsite leadership opportunity for a seasoned engineer who excels in Creo/Windchill-based workflows, team leadership, and collaborative, client-oriented environments in a mechanical product development setting.

Requirements:
a. 7+ YOE
b. PTC Creo and Windchill experience necessary
c. 4 year engineering degree required
d. Needs experience with mechanical design, then producing drawings from those designs.
e. Need to be able to lead of team of less inexperienced folks
f. Need to be able to work in a customer facing environment.

Compensation:
We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary rate of $115,000 to $135,000 however, Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
