EDI Developer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Senior EDI Engineer with strong expertise in IBM Sterling B2B Integrator (SB2Bi) to design, develop, implement, and support EDI/B2B solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing partner onboarding, developing complex business processes, and ensuring seamless data exchange across enterprise systems.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain integrations using IBM Sterling B2B Integrator.
• Analyze business requirements and implement EDI/B2B workflows for multiple trading partners.
• Configure and support EDI standards including X12, EDIFACT, XML, JSON, and flat files.
• Manage trading partner onboarding, mapping, and communication setup (AS2, SFTP, FTP, HTTP, VAN).
• Create and maintain BPML business processes and enveloping/de-enveloping services.
• Collaborate with business analysts, application teams, and trading partners to ensure smooth EDI operations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve EDI transaction failures and performance issues.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and logging to ensure high system availability.
• Participate in upgrades, patches, and migration of Sterling environments.
• Provide mentoring and technical guidance to junior engineers.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience of hands-on EDI map development.
• Experience with IBM Sterling B2B Integrator (v6.X+), Sterling File Gateway, Control Center. in high-volume environments. Strong familiarity with Sterling adaptors (FTP/S, HTTP/S, AS2, MQ, ODBC/JDBC).
• Experience with map development using Sterling Map Editor.
• Proficiency in BPML, service configuration, and parameterized business processes.
• Familiarity with IBM Control Center and Sterling File Gateway.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience integrating with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) preferred.
• Knowledge of scripting (Unix Shell, Python, or similar) is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
