Sr Data Governance Analyst

Location: Rockville, MD - 3 days Hybrid

Business Analyst with data exposure/Business Data Analyst/ Data Librarian

Most of this role is documentation.

Education/Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Information Management, Data Management, Finance, or related field.
5+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or related disciplines.
Demonstrated experience contributing to enterprise data governance programs in complex environments.
Solid knowledge of data quality, metadata management, data architecture, and data lineage.
Proficient with data analysis and visualization tools for insights and communication.
Strong communication skills, including the ability to present information clearly to management and stakeholders.
Experience with stakeholder management, including the ability to build relationships and drive cross-functional alignment.
Ability to translate technical concepts into actionable business language for non-technical audiences.
Experience participating in or supporting committees, working groups, and collaborative forums.
Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
Self-directed with the ability to work independently while appropriately escalating issues.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Collaborative team player across organizational boundaries.
