About the Role
We are seeking a
Business Analyst II to support a large-scale logistics and transportation organization focused on optimizing freight movement and pricing strategies across a national network. This role sits within a
product and technology organization that partners closely with operations, analytics, and engineering teams to drive data-backed decision making.
This is a hands-on analytical role ideal for someone who enjoys translating complex data into insights, building dashboards, and supporting business leaders with actionable recommendations.
What You'll Do
- Analyze business processes, systems, and data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
- Build and maintain dashboards and reporting to support operational and pricing decisions
- Partner with product managers, technical teams, and business stakeholders to define requirements and success metrics
- Write clear documentation outlining user needs, system functionality, and process flows
- Perform ad hoc analysis using Excel, SQL, and BI tools to support time-sensitive business questions
- Support development or enhancement of reporting tools and analytical solutions
- Present insights and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear, concise manner
Required Qualifications
- 4-6 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar analytical role
- Advanced Excel skills (large datasets, formulas, pivot tables; Power Query or macros a plus)
- Experience building dashboards and reports using Tableau or similar BI tools
- Foundational to intermediate SQL skills for querying relational databases
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Experience gathering requirements and translating business needs into technical or analytical outputs
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Nice to Have
- Experience supporting logistics, transportation, supply chain, or pricing teams
- Exposure to product or technology-driven environments
- Experience working with large, complex datasets in fast-paced organizations
