Java Developer

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Application Developer to support and enhance international retail store applications. This role involves hands-on development, technical leadership, and collaboration across multi-tiered system environments. Ideal candidates thrive in fast-paced settings, adapt quickly to new technologies, and deliver high-quality solutions on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Develop, debug, and test application programs using Java and web-based technologies supporting sales capture, device integration, and web services.
• Provide development support for international retail store applications.
• Optimize and performance-tune multi-tiered application systems.
• Serve as a technical lead on complex store system projects, including requirements estimation, system design, and solution development.
• Stay current with emerging software tools, frameworks, and programming techniques.
• Ensure all deliverables meet functional and quality expectations within established timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on application development experience using:
  • Java
  • Spring
  • Spring Boot
  • SQL
  • Log4j
  • Web Services
  • Oracle databases
• Required experience with Spring Boot, TDD, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Docker and AngularJS is a plus.
• Oracle Retail POS experience is highly desirable.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $75.00/hr.
