Key Responsibilities
- Strategy & Planning: Define comprehensive data migration strategies, including ETL, data cleaning, validation, and cutover plans for large-scale projects.
- Technical Execution: Architect and implement complex migration scripts, SQL, and data transformation pipelines (e.g., Python/PySpark, AWS Glue/S3).
- Data Governance & Quality: Ensure 100% data integrity, accuracy, and security during transfers, adhering to GDPR, HIPAA, or industry-specific regulations.
- Stakeholder Management: Lead cross-functional teams, coordinate with vendors, and report to stakeholders on progress and risks.
- Performance Optimization: Optimize data pipelines for large-volume data moves and manage database performance.
- Experience: 10+ years of direct experience in data migration, data engineering, or data warehousing, ideally within the USA.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced SQL skills, ETL tools, and experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and modern data warehouses (Databricks, Snowflake).
- Domain Expertise: Familiarity with ERP/CRM migration (SAP, Oracle) or industry-specific systems (e.g., healthcare PACS).
- Leadership: Strong project management, mentoring of junior engineers, and technical leadership.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
