Vaco is partnering with a digital-first organization to hire a Digital Analytics & Tracking Specialist to take ownership of its website data ecosystem. This is a high-impact, hands-on role sitting at the intersection of Marketing, Engineering, and Business Intelligence, focused on ensuring data is captured accurately and translated into meaningful business insights.
This role is ideal for someone who treats data as a product. You will own tracking architecture, drive data integrity, and help shape how digital performance is measured and optimized across the organization. What You’ll Be Doing
- Own and evolve the end-to-end digital tracking strategy across web platforms
- Design and implement tracking architecture using Google Tag Manager and GA4
- Define and maintain event schemas and data layer structures to ensure consistent, high-quality data capture
- Partner with engineering and IT to ensure stable, scalable data flows across systems
- Support data architecture efforts tied to Snowflake and/or BigQuery environments
- Translate website behavior and eCommerce performance into actionable insights using SQL and visualization tools
- Build and automate dashboards and reporting to provide real-time visibility into key marketing metrics
- Act as the subject matter expert for digital analytics, advising marketing and business stakeholders
- Validate and support A/B testing and CRO initiatives through accurate tracking and analysis
- Audit tracking implementations and attribution models to identify and resolve gaps
- Manage and optimize user consent frameworks in alignment with privacy regulations
- Continuously improve tracking capabilities by evaluating new tools and methodologies
Required Experience
- 4+ years of experience in digital analytics, marketing technology, or web data engineering
- Strong hands-on experience with Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager
- Deep understanding of event-driven tracking and tagging architecture
- Strong SQL skills for data extraction, validation, and analysis
- Experience working with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake or BigQuery
- Experience building dashboards and visualizations using tools such as Tableau
- Ability to translate complex data into clear insights for business stakeholders
- Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, IT, and marketing teams
Nice to Have
- Experience supporting eCommerce or high-growth digital environments
- Familiarity with consent management platforms and privacy frameworks such as GDPR or CCPA
- Experience with A/B testing, attribution modeling, and customer segmentation
- Exposure to marketing automation tools or digital experience platforms
Compensation
- Competitive hourly rate based on experience ($40-50/hr estimate)
- Engagement is W2 through Vaco
- Eligible for Vaco benefits including health, dental, vision, and 401(k)
