Mainframe Developers to support a large-scale initiative with US Bank focused on
reducing technical debt and modernizing core systems. This is a funded effort with strong visibility, and the team is expanding to accelerate delivery across key projects.
These roles offer a mix of
new development, system enhancements, and ongoing application support - not just maintenance work.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, maintain, and enhance mainframe applications using COBOL, DB2, and VSAM
- Participate in the full SDLC (requirements, design, development, testing, deployment)
- Collaborate with product teams and technical SMEs to translate business needs into solutions
- Contribute to both new feature development and existing system improvements
- Support agile team activities (stand-ups, sprint planning, etc.)
- Partner with offshore teams as needed (may include occasional early meetings)
Required Qualifications- Recent, hands-on experience as a Mainframe Developer
- Strong expertise in:
- Experience working in a development-focused (not solely support) environment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with CICS
- Experience with Git / GitLab
- Background in financial services or credit card systems

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $50.00 - $58.00/hr.
