Our client, a well-established and growing Managed Services Provider (MSP), is seeking a Network / Systems Administrator to join their dedicated Project Team. This is a hands-on, client-facing engineering role focused on designing, implementing, and delivering infrastructure projects across diverse client environments.

This position is ideal for a seasoned IT professional who thrives on building solutions not just maintaining them and enjoys working across varied technologies in fast-paced MSP environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute infrastructure deployment and migration projects end-to-end
• Design and implement network solutions including firewalls, switching, routing, and wireless
• Deploy and upgrade Windows Server environments (AD, DNS, DHCP, GPO)
• Lead Microsoft 365 migrations (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams) and hybrid cloud implementations
• Implement and manage virtualization platforms (VMware and/or Hyper-V)
• Configure secure remote access and VPN solutions
• Deploy and support backup and disaster recovery solutions (Veeam, Datto, etc.)
• Perform technical assessments and develop project plans/documentation
• Provide Tier 3 escalation support as needed
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with best practices

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on network and systems administration experience
• Prior experience working within an MSP environment strongly preferred
• Strong expertise in:
  • Windows Server (2016/2019/2022)
  • Active Directory & Group Policy
  • Microsoft 365 & Azure AD
  • Virtualization (VMware and/or Hyper-V)
  • Firewall configuration (SonicWall, Fortinet, Meraki, etc.)
  • Layer 2/3 networking fundamentals
• Proven experience leading server and cloud migrations
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills
• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects
• Professional, client-facing communication skills
