Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
- 15+ years of SAP technology experience with architecture leadership on large, global SAP S/4HANA transformation programs.
- Minimum three end-to-end SAP implementations, including technical architecture responsibility for at least one SAP S/4HANA or RISE with SAP program.
- Deep expertise in SAP Basis architecture, landscape design, sizing, high availability, disaster recovery, system copies, refreshes, upgrades, patching, transports, performance, and operations.
- Experience directing SAP environments across development, quality, test, training, pre-production, production, and disaster-recovery landscapes.
- Strong knowledge of SAP HANA, S/4HANA, Fiori, Web Dispatcher, SAP Cloud Connector, SAP BTP connectivity, identity services, interfaces, and hybrid cloud architecture.
- Experience leading SAP Security architecture covering roles and authorizations, Fiori catalogs and spaces, business roles, privileged access, emergency access, segregation of duties, and audit controls.
- Experience leading enterprise SAP testing across functional, integration, regression, automation, performance, security, data, cutover, and operational-readiness testing.
- Knowledge of test-management and automation tools such as Tricentis, Worksoft, or equivalent, with integration to the program delivery toolchain.
- Strong experience defining and governing the SAP integrated toolchain, including SAP Signavio, SAP LeanIX, SAP Cloud ALM, and related requirements, testing, deployment, monitoring, and architecture repositories.
- Experience designing tool integrations, common taxonomy, metadata governance, traceability, access controls, reporting, dashboards, and lifecycle ownership across the transformation toolchain.
- Experience with SAP Cloud ALM for implementation and operations, including projects, requirements, tasks, testing, deployment, integration monitoring, job monitoring, health monitoring, and alerting.
- Experience with architecture standards, technical design reviews, clean-core governance, extensibility patterns, non-functional requirements, cybersecurity, and technical risk management.
- Experience leading onshore and offshore Basis, Testing, Security, platform, and toolchain teams, including vendor and SAP coordination.
- Strong understanding of SAP Activate, release and transport governance, DevSecOps principles, IT service management, cutover, go-live, hypercare, and transition to operations.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end SAP technical architecture for the Helix program and serve as the onsite technical leadership focal point in Charlotte, NC.
- Lead the SAP Basis, SAP Testing, SAP Security, and SAP integrated toolchain workstreams, establishing priorities, governance, delivery plans, and measurable outcomes.
- Define the target SAP landscape architecture, environment strategy, sizing, availability, resiliency, disaster recovery, connectivity, and operational model.
- Create and govern technical architecture standards, roadmaps, non-functional requirements, architecture decisions, design patterns, and technical-debt controls.
- Lead Basis planning and execution for provisioning, builds, upgrades, patching, client strategy, system copies, refreshes, transport routes, performance tuning, monitoring, and production readiness.
- Own the integrated environment calendar and coordinate environment demand, releases, test cycles, data refreshes, maintenance windows, and deplo yment activities across ARTs.
- Define the SAP security architecture and governance model for roles, authorization concepts, Fiori access, privileged access, segregation of duties, audit evidence, and identity integration.
- Provide governance and oversight for the end-to-end test strategy, test environments, test data, automation, defect management, performance testing, security testing, entry and exit criteria, and reporting.
- Define and govern the integrated transformation toolchain using SAP Signavio for business-process design, SAP LeanIX for enterprise architecture, and SAP Cloud ALM for implementation and operations.
- Establish common process, application, requirement, test, deployment, and architecture traceability across Signavio, LeanIX, Cloud ALM, and other approved engineering tools.
- Coordinate tool onboarding, tenant and workspace strategy, integrations, authentication, authorization, metadata standards, data synchronization, support ownership, and adoption.
- Partner with functional, integration, data, infrastructure, cybersecurity, release, cutover, and business teams to resolve cross-workstream technical dependencies and risks.
- Lead technical design authority meetings, review solution proposals, challenge unnecessary customization, and ensure alignment with clean-core and enterprise standards.
- Drive technical readiness assessments for SIT, UAT, performance testing, dress rehearsals, cutover, go-live, hypercare, disaster recovery, and transition to steady-state support.
- Manage technical risks, issues, decisions, dependencies, budget and resource needs; provide concise status, recovery plans, and leadership asks to Helix management.
- Mentor technical leads, hold teams and vendors accountable for delivery quality, and proactively engage stakeholders to drive decisions and outcomes.

Salary Range: $160,000 - $180,000 a year
