Summary

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented LIAISON OFFICER to join our team in QUANTICO, VA.

The Liaison Officer will serve as the core Technical Liaison for the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of War (ODASW) Prototyping and Experimentation (P&E) Joint Maritime Next (JMN) Capabilities Directorate, embedded within the USMC Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory (MCWL).

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Synchronize JMN initiatives with USMC maritime expeditionary warfighting needs.
  • Monitor capability gaps and operational requirements to inform investment portfolios and prototype selection.
  • Advise the JMN Director on USMC investment opportunities and collaborate with the MCWL team to recommend promising prototypes.
  • Assist USMC and ODASW P&E in partnering with operational users to develop viable Concepts of Operations (CONOPS) for new component technologies and systems-of-systems in support of future independent assessments and joint experimentations.
  • Facilitate collaboration across industry, academia, and government laboratories to rapidly respond to ODASW P&E JMN and USMC warfighter demands.
  • Provide technical communications across maritime forums, author critical project documentation, deliver progress reports, and ensure cross-functional mission alignment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor?s degree and at least 7 years? experience in military operational, strategic, and international environments. A total of 10 years? experience without a degree.
  • Proven ability to serve as a liaison between government departments, joint services, and operational stakeholders.
  • Experience managing capability development, future operations, and technology integration with joint services, academia, and industry partners.
  • Demonstrated success in advising senior leadership, authoring project documentation, and delivering progress reports.
  • Strong background in providing subject matter expertise for the development, integration, and implementation of force protection and warfighting capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Subject matter expertise in maritime expeditionary operations or United States Marine Corps capability integration.
  • Defense Acquisition University education or professional military education as a security cooperation planner.
  • Experience executing multi-million dollar project portfolios while ensuring responsible stewardship of resources.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must have a current and active DoD Top Secret SCI security clearance.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able and willing to perform occasional manual labor and warehouse duties, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
