Technical Project Manager – Software Engineering / AI (Only Visa Independent Candidate/W2)

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner directly with software engineering, product, architecture, QA, DevOps, and technology leadership teams to drive technical projects from planning through production deployment.
• Coordinate software releases and deployments, including timelines, dependencies, environments, testing, production readiness, risks, issues, and post-deployment activities.
• Drive Agile/software development initiatives while maintaining visibility into engineering deliverables, blockers, dependencies, and priorities.
• Support AI enablement and GenAI-related initiatives across the technology organization.
• Work with engineering teams adopting modern AI tools and development practices, potentially including Claude/Anthropic, Copilot, Cursor, LLMs, and AI agents.
• Translate between technical engineering teams and business/product stakeholders without requiring engineers to simplify every technical discussion.
• Manage cross-functional dependencies across software development, infrastructure/cloud, security, product, and business teams.
• Identify risks and roadblocks early and drive issues through resolution.
• Provide clear project status, delivery metrics, risks, and executive-level updates to technology leadership.
• Help improve software delivery processes, release management, communication, and execution across engineering teams.

 

Ideal Background:

• Strong experience as a Technical Project Manager, Technical Program Manager, Software Delivery Manager, or Engineering Project Manager.
• Recent experience working directly with software engineering/application development teams is critical.
• Strong understanding of the modern SDLC, Agile development, software releases, deployments, CI/CD, APIs, cloud environments, testing, and production delivery.
• Experience supporting AI/GenAI initiatives, LLM-based applications, AI enablement, or AI-assisted software development is highly preferred.
• Exposure to Claude/Anthropic, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, ChatGPT/OpenAI, agentic AI, or similar modern AI technologies is a major plus.
• Experience delivering SaaS, cloud-based, API-driven, or modern enterprise applications.
• Comfortable interacting with developers, architects, DevOps engineers, Product Owners, engineering managers, and senior technology executives.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential.
• Able to operate independently and drive delivery without becoming overly process/ceremony focused.
• Legal technology, LegalTech, litigation technology, document/workflow platforms, SaaS, or other data-intensive application environments would be beneficial but are not required.
• Preference is for someone closer to the technology who has grown up around modern software engineering environments.
