IT Procurement Analyst - Consultant

Vaco is actively seeking an IT Procurement Analyst for a unique opportunity to join an extremely stable and nationally respected organization in Memphis.


Position Summary

The IT Procurement Analyst will utilize defined methodologies to support IT planning, due diligence, contract negotiations, and governance process for enterprise technology spend.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
 

• Serves as the primary point of contact to assigned business units for sourcing needs.
• Conducts spend analysis, identifies opportunities, coordinates and collaborates with internal stakeholders on complex sourcing events and leads key initiatives.
• Ensures adherence to corporate contracting standards and policies.
• Develops robust sourcing strategies to maximize value and minimize risk.
• Solicits / analyzes request for proposals; negotiates contracts and collaborates with Legal Department on contract terms and contract execution.
• Establish a supplier relationship management process focused on continuous improvement.
• Monitors market dynamics and communicate changes to internal stakeholders.
• Contributes to new supplier selection process and developing and maintaining supplier relationships.
• Evaluate opportunities to optimize supplier spend and value by combining, terminating or extending contracts according to organizational objectives. Regularly review contracts with organizational stakeholders to ensure pricing models, usage, and service levels are current and optimized and that the supplier adheres to all terms and conditions.
• Responsible for continuous quality, service, satisfaction and cost from suppliers to support efficient business operations.
• Responsible for working with subject matter experts to gather, document, and assess business requirements.
• Monitor the financial and market performance of the suppliers to identify potential supplier viability risks, communicate the risks to stakeholders and develop a risk mitigation action plan in conjunction with IT Strategy.

Requirements:
 

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT sourcing, procurement, vendor management, or strategic sourcing.
• Must have excellent written communication skills to effectively convey detailed and complex information regarding contractual specifications, policies and procedures to strategic partners and internal stakeholders.
• Proven experience supporting complex sourcing events, RFP processes, and contract negotiations.
• Demonstrated experience working with IT vendors and technology partners on both service, deliverable, and asset-based agreements.

• Employment Type: 6 - 12 Months with potential to convert to direct employment upon demonstrated success

• Cadence: Onsite Preferred / Hybrid or Remote possible

• Compensation: $45 - $50 per hour based on skills and experience
• Employment Status: No form of employment sponsorship is being considered
