Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused IT Support Specialist to join our team in Wilmington, NC. This role is responsible for providing hands-on technical support for end-user devices, applications, and infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on Microsoft 365, Teams, Intune, and core networking.
This position serves as the primary onsite IT support resource for a client location, acting as an extension of our Managed Services team. The role follows established standards, processes, and escalation paths to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery within a regulated environment.
The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working both independently onsite and collaboratively with a remote technical team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide onsite and remote desktop support for users, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues
  • Support and administer Microsoft 365 services including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint
  • Manage endpoint devices using Microsoft Intune (device enrollment, policy enforcement, patching, and compliance)
  • Configure, deploy, and maintain desktops, laptops, and peripherals
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues (LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, DNS, DHCP)
  • Assist with user account management (Azure AD / Entra ID), including provisioning, access control, and least-privilege enforcement
  • Maintain accurate documentation in alignment with internal standards and compliance requirements
  • Support audit readiness by ensuring systems, configurations, and activities align with regulatory and internal control expectations
  • Collaborate closely with the remote Managed Services team, following defined processes, standards, and escalation paths
  • Act as the onsite extension of the Managed Services team, executing tasks under their guidance while providing local insight and support
  • Participate in system upgrades, rollouts, and infrastructure initiatives
  • Follow and enforce IT security policies, including endpoint protection, patching standards, and data protection controls

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of experience in desktop support or IT support roles
  • Strong experience with Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint)
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune and endpoint management
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN)
  • Experience with Windows 10/11 troubleshooting and deployment
  • Familiarity with Azure Active Directory (Entra ID)
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently onsite while collaborating effectively with remote teams

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a Managed Services or client-facing IT environment
  • Experience supporting regulated environments (e.g., life sciences, healthcare, or compliance-driven industries)
  • Understanding of frameworks such as GxP, HIPAA, GDPR, or 21 CFR Part 11
  • Experience supporting audits, validation activities, or controlled documentation environments
  • Familiarity with endpoint security and compliance monitoring tools
  • Relevant certifications (Microsoft, CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar)
