Description OverviewSeeking a strategic technology leader to drive enterprise digital infrastructure and platform architecture across network, cloud, automation, and security-aligned environments. This role focuses on modernization, hybrid/multi-cloud enablement, Zero Trust alignment, and scalable architectures supporting research, analytics, and mission-critical operations.
Key Responsibilities- Lead enterprise digital infrastructure strategy, including network architecture, cloud connectivity, and core platform services.
- Develop and govern a multi-year infrastructure roadmap aligned with organizational priorities.
- Drive modernization in automation, infrastructure-as-code, observability, and resilience.
- Oversee hybrid/multi-cloud architecture across AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and on-prem environments.
- Partner with security leadership to ensure Zero Trust and segmentation alignment.
- Guide platform design supporting research computing, clinical systems, IoT, and enterprise applications.
- Lead and develop teams focused on architecture, cloud platforms, and automation.
- Collaborate with executives and cross-functional leaders to support strategic technology initiatives.
Requirements QualificationsMinimum:- Master's degree (or Bachelor's with equivalent senior experience) in IT, engineering, or related field
- Progressive leadership experience in enterprise infrastructure, cloud, or platform architecture
- Expertise in secure, scalable, resilient infrastructure design
- Experience leading technical teams, vendors, and multi-year initiatives
Preferred:- Experience in research-intensive, clinical, or data-heavy environments
- Familiarity with product/service portfolio management
- Exposure to higher education or complex enterprise settings
Technical Competencies- Enterprise networking: LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, Wi-Fi 6/6E/7, private cellular
- Cloud networking: BGP, Direct Connect, ExpressRoute, Cloud Interconnect
- Platforms: Cisco, Arista, Juniper, HPE/Aruba
- Automation/IaC: Ansible, Terraform, Python, GitHub, NetBox, Nautobot
- Security: Zero Trust, NDR, IPS, segmentation, CASB
- Monitoring/observability: SolarWinds, ThousandEyes, etc.
