Pay Range - $65 - $70/h

We have an immediate long-term opportunity with one of our prime clients for a position Full Stack AI Web Engineer (Next.js) --- LLM/AI to work in Charlotte, NC on Onsite basis.

• Need a NextJS Developer/Engineer with LLM/AI capabilities (LangChain or LangGraph, Vercel AI SDK, AWS Bedrock, OpenAI API)

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Engineer with strong experience in Next.js, modern web application development, and hands on integration of LLM/AI capabilities. This engineer will work across the entire stack-UI through backend services-to build AI powered internal web applications within a secure enterprise environment.

The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver, communicates clearly, and can own tasks end to end with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full stack web applications built primarily on Next.js (frontend + backend routes).
• Integrate LLM-based functionality into applications using SDKs such as:
  • OpenAI API
  • AWS Bedrock
  • Vercel AI SDK
  • LangChain or LangGraph
• Collaborate with product, architecture, and DevOps teams to ensure smooth delivery and deployment pipelines.
• Work across both frontend and backend tasks-no siloed roles; responsibilities span the full stack.
• Contribute to application architecture decisions and help shape engineering standards.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure high-quality, maintainable software.
• Troubleshoot performance, security, and integration issues as applications evolve.
• (Nice to have) Build or support Java based integrations (Spring Boot) for backend pipelines or services.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong expertise with React and Next.js in production environments.
• Experience building and deploying web applications end to end.
• Hands-on experience integrating or consuming LLM/AI APIs.
• Strong understanding of modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Ability to work across the full stack-frontend, backend, APIs, integrations.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to self direct work.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with:
  • Java / Spring Boot (for backend integrations)
  • Python or Python based AI/ML SDKs
  • GitLab Runners / GitLab CI/CD
  • Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
• Exposure to enterprise environments with secure or restricted cloud enclaves.
• Familiarity with TDD or automated testing frameworks.

Soft Skills

• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Ability to take an ambiguous requirement and turn it into actionable technical work.
• Senior level maturity with task ownership and collaboration.
• Comfortable in a fast moving environment with evolving requirements.
