Job Overview:

The main responsibility of the Sr. DevOps Engineer role is to build/maintain as well as improve the CI/CD pipelines, supporting the cloud infrastructure and building automation around it. This role is also responsible for building reliability, scalability as well as observability around the deployed software applications This role is expected to improve operational efficiencies as well as implementation of security controls.

Job Responsibilities:
Architect, build and provision cloud infrastructure
Build infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code principles
Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for software applications
Manage containerized environments using Docker and introduce orchestration (eg Kubernetes) as scale requires
Implement security into deployments by design including IAM, encryption, and network segmentation
Implement monitoring and observability to track system health, performance, and reliability
Support database operations including scaling, backups and recovery

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required
5+ years of strong hands-on Cloud experience preferably AWS in production environments
In-depth understanding of docker and containerization workflows (Kubernetes).
Experience building CI/CD pipelines with tools like Argo CD, Jenkins, Gitlab runner
Solid scripting skills in Bash and/or Python
Experience supporting MS-SQL or similar databases
Strong understanding of security fundamentals and access management

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP's commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 00(USD) USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process.
