Location: 100% Onsite - Manhattan

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in a Desktop Engineer (or similar) role
  • Windows operating systems
  • Enterprise laptops and end-user hardware
  • Application support and troubleshooting
  • Experience working in a large corporate or MSP-style IT environment
  • Comfortable owning support tickets from start to finish
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Skills & Certifications

  • Azure experience (administration and user support)
  • Experience supporting cloud-based applications
  • Basic knowledge of networking and security concepts
  • Certifications such as:
    • Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate
    • Microsoft Azure Fundamentals
    • CompTIA Network+ or Security+
  • Experience working in compliance-driven or enterprise IT environments

Role Overview

We are seeking a senior-level Desktop Engineer II to provide hands-on Tier 2 technical support in a large enterprise environment. This role supports end users with hardware, applications, and cloud-based services and serves as an escalation point for more complex issues. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and focused on delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for hardware, software, and cloud-based systems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows, laptops, and end-user devices
  • Support Azure environments, including basic administration and cloud application issues
  • Own incidents from intake through resolution, escalating when needed
  • Act as an escalation resource for junior team members
  • Document solutions and maintain knowledge base articles
  • Communicate technical details clearly to teams and stakeholders
  • Participate in system improvements, process updates, and special projects
  • Meet expected performance and utilization metrics

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $32.00/hr.
