Job Summary:
We are seeking a hands-on Manufacturing / Quality Engineer to support production, process improvement, and quality execution for complex aerospace and defense hardware. This role is highly shop floor-focused, partnering cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to ensure efficient, compliant, and high-quality production.
The ideal candidate brings strong experience in MRB, nonconformance disposition, and root cause/corrective action within a regulated manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
* Support all phases of product realization across manufacturing and quality functions
* Develop and maintain manufacturing processes, work instructions, and build plans
* Participate in MRB activities, including nonconformance disposition and corrective actions
* Perform root cause analysis (RCCA/CAPA) and drive issues to closure
* Support incoming, in-process, and final inspections to ensure product conformance
* Ensure compliance with AS9100 / ISO 9001 and customer requirements
* Conduct process audits and support continuous improvement initiatives
* Collaborate with production teams to resolve manufacturing and quality issues
* Support documentation, reporting, and training as needed

Required Qualifications
* Bachelor"s degree in Engineering (or equivalent experience)
* 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, quality engineering, or hybrid ME/QE roles
* Aerospace, defense, or other regulated manufacturing experience
* Strong knowledge of: Engineering drawings and BOMs, Manufacturing and inspection processes, MRB and nonconformance disposition, Root cause and corrective action methodologies
* Working knowledge of ISO 9001 (AS9100 preferred)
* Hands-on experience supporting shop floor operations
* Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
* U.S. Citizenship required due to the nature of the work

Preferred Qualifications
* ASQ certifications (CQE, CQA, CSQP)
* Experience with military or space hardware
* Familiarity with aerospace standards (IPC, J-STD, etc.)
* Experience in cleanroom or controlled manufacturing environments

Belcan provides a competitive pay and benefits package. Salary guidelines for similar roles at Belcan are $45.00-55.00 per hour. Guidelines vary based on many factors including but not limited to education, qualifications, experience, discipline, geographic location, market, and business considerations.
