Role Overview

Google is seeking five Senior Partner Solutions Engineers for a high-priority, 12-month project within the Google Shopping team. This role focuses on scaling the Universal Commerce Protocol (UCP) and driving the integration of Agentic Commerce with large-scale retail partners. This is a fully on-site position based in Sunnyvale, CA.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Integration: Guide complex partners (e.g., Wayfair, Etsy) through UCP.dev specifications and Google Merchant Center onboarding.
• Engineering & Debugging: Identify and solve integration bugs, specifically focused on REST API, JSON, and JavaScript errors.
• Architecture Consultation: Review partner system architectures and design custom integration plans to fit UCP into diverse technical environments.
• Project Leadership: Manage end-to-end implementation reviews, create technical documentation, and advocate for new product features based on partner feedback.
• Cross-Functional Liaison: Partner with Product and Engineering teams to drive feature requests and resolve technical blockers.

Qualifications & Skills

Required Experience

• 5-6+ years of professional engineering experience.
• Proven track record in API Integration and technical support for large-scale enterprise clients.

Technical Must-Haves

• Agentic Space Expertise: Familiarity with LLM agents, Agentic Commerce, and emerging protocols like MCP (Model Context Protocol).
• API Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of REST APIs and JSON debugging.
• System Design: Strong understanding of system architecture and design concepts.
• Coding: Ability to pass a rigorous technical interview; comfortable with hands-on coding and log analysis.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in E-commerce, retail technology, or payment systems.
• Experience with Shopify or similar merchant integrations.
• Ability to build data dashboards and perform analysis using SQL.
