Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Databricks Platform Administrator with strong hands-on experience managing enterprise Databricks environments, with a heavy focus on Unity Catalog, security, governance, workspace administration, and platform operations.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of Cloud, Data Platform, DevOps, or Platform Engineering experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on Databricks administration in enterprise environments.
• Strong experience implementing, configuring, and administering Unity Catalog.
• Hands-on experience managing catalogs, schemas, tables, views, external locations, storage credentials, and data permissions.
• Strong knowledge of RBAC, users, groups, service principals, authentication, authorization, and access controls.
• Experience managing Databricks workspaces, clusters, cluster policies, SQL warehouses, jobs, and compute resources.
• Experience integrating Databricks with Azure ADLS and cloud IAM/security services.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across Databricks permissions, connectivity, clusters, jobs, performance, and platform issues.
• Experience implementing Databricks security, governance, and enterprise data access standards.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform/IaC, Databricks CLI/APIs, Python, and automation.
• Strong understanding of Delta Lake and the Databricks Lakehouse Platform.
• Experience supporting multiple Databricks workspaces/environments, including development, QA, and production.

Preferred

• Databricks certification.
• Experience with Databricks Account Console/account-level administration.
• Experience establishing enterprise-wide Unity Catalog governance and security standards.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
• Experience with cloud networking, private connectivity, and enterprise identity platforms.
