Business Analyst
Location: McLean, VA (5 day onsite)
Fulltime with Hexaware
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather and document business requirements from Accounting, Finance, and Tax systems
- Translate business needs into functional specifications for technology/process solutions
- Map current-state processes and design future-state workflows
- Support UAT, data validation, and process documentation (SOPs, process flows)
- Facilitate communication between business units and technical/delivery teams
- Identify process improvement and automation opportunities
Required Qualifications:
- Min 7+ years exp as Business Analyst, with direct exposure to accounting, finance, or tax functions
- Experience in mortgage, banking, or financial services (GSE experience a plus)
- Strong requirements-gathering, process mapping, and documentation skills
- Familiarity with financial systems/ERP and reporting tools
- Excellent stakeholder communication and cross-functional coordination skills
Preferred:
- Experience with reimbursable operating expense (ROE) or similar mortgage servicing cost processes
- Exposure to tax compliance workflows (federal/state, GSE-specific reporting)
- SQL or data analysis skills
