Job Role: UI/UX Designer

Location: Remote (U.S.) with up to 50% travel 

Hire-Type: Contract

Position Summary

We are looking for an experienced UI/UX Designer who can partner directly with business stakeholders, product owners, and end users to create intuitive, modern, and engaging web application experiences. This is a highly collaborative role where you’ll participate in discovery workshops, gather requirements, understand user personas, and translate business needs into thoughtful user journeys and high-quality interface designs.

The ideal candidate has a strong eye for design, is passionate about user-centered experiences, and can introduce fresh, creative ideas while maintaining consistent company branding. We are looking for someone who can move beyond generic AI-generated designs and create unique, polished experiences that improve usability and user adoption.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in client workshops, discovery sessions, and requirements gathering meetings.
• Understand business processes, user personas, and end-user workflows to design intuitive user experiences.
• Create user journeys, process flows, information architecture, and interaction designs.
• Develop low-fidelity wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, clickable prototypes, and design specifications.
• Design modern, visually appealing web applications that align with company branding while introducing fresh UI concepts.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and business stakeholders throughout the design lifecycle.
• Ensure consistency across multiple applications through reusable design patterns and component libraries.
• Conduct usability reviews and incorporate stakeholder and user feedback into design iterations.
• Leverage AI-powered design tools where appropriate to accelerate ideation and design while maintaining originality and quality.
• Work closely with development teams to ensure accurate implementation of designs.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of UI/UX design experience for enterprise web applications.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end UX process and modern UI design.
• Expertise with Figma and modern design/prototyping tools.
• Experience creating:

• User personas
• User journeys
• Low-fidelity wireframes
• High-fidelity mockups
• Interactive prototypes
• Design systems

• Strong understanding of usability principles, accessibility, responsive design, and interaction design.
• Ability to facilitate discovery sessions and translate business requirements into user-centered designs.
• Experience collaborating directly with customers and executive stakeholders.
• Exceptional attention to detail and visual design skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using AI-assisted design tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Figma AI, Uizard, Galileo AI, or similar platforms.
• Experience building or contributing to enterprise design systems.
• Knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, React, Angular, etc.) to collaborate effectively with developers.
• Experience designing data-intensive or analytics-focused applications is a plus.

• Travel: Up to 50% travel within the United States is required.

Educational Qualifications:

• Required - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or closely related or equivalent.
• Preferred - Master’s degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science, Big Data or Analytics or equivalent.

Travel:

·   Open to travel based up on the nature of the engagement.
