The Scrum Master is responsible for leading Agile delivery while also applying strong project management discipline across the full project lifecycle. This role requires a seasoned professional with proven experience functioning as both a Project Manager and Scrum Master, ensuring high-quality delivery, continuous improvement, and alignment with business objectives. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong leadership, communication, and execution skills in complex enterprise environments.

Required Experience & Skills
  • 7 10 years of combined IT Project Management experience as both a Project Manager and Scrum Master.

  • Proven experience successfully performing dual roles (PM and Scrum Master).

  • Strong delivery mindset with the ability to convert lessons learned into improved and accelerated delivery outcomes.

  • Hands-on experience with enterprise tools including ServiceNow, Azure DevOps (ADO), SharePoint, PowerPoint, and Excel.

  • Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile, Scrum, and SAFe methodologies.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across all organizational levels.

Preferred Certifications
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM)

  • SAFe 5 Scrum Master (SSM)

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Serve as primary liaison between business partners, Scrum teams, and technical stakeholders.

  • Act as Project Manager and Scrum Master for a dedicated agile delivery team.

  • Lead and facilitate Scrum ceremonies including Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Reviews, Retrospectives, and PI Planning.

  • Manage project activities across the full lifecycle using ServiceNow, Azure DevOps, SharePoint, and other enterprise tools.

  • Provide accurate and timely project status reporting to leadership.

  • Support development of the Annual Financial Plan, including forecasting and budget input.

  • Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality solutions aligned with business objectives.

Project Leadership & Governance
  • Manage the full project lifecycle in alignment with SDLC and agile best practices.

  • Apply project management expertise across:

    • Scope Management

    • Schedule Management

    • Issue and Risk Management

    • PI Planning

    • Communications Management

    • Change Management

    • Quality Management

    • Vendor and Contract Management

  • Maintain and update project artifacts, including release schedules, staffing plans, roadmaps, documentation, and reporting.

  • Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget through proactive planning, forecasting, and execution.

  • Lead change management efforts to ensure adoption and successful transition of deliverables.

  • Adhere to enterprise PMO standards and actively participate in structured project reviews.

Agile & Team Leadership
  • Lead small- to medium-sized Scrum teams, often simultaneously.

  • Ensure clear alignment of roles, responsibilities, and expectations across teams.

  • Monitor and measure team performance, resource utilization, and delivery outcomes.

  • Proactively identify and implement improvements to processes, team organization, and reporting.

  • Demonstrate tangible experience executing PI Planning and enabling teams to achieve committed outcomes.

Communication & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Deliver consistent, concise, and accurate communication to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Provide leadership-ready insights that support effective business decision-making.

  • Ensure transparency and accountability across project teams and stakeholders.
