Job Title: Snowflake Administrator
Location: 100% remote
Duration: Longterm Contract
 
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Snowflake Administrator with strong hands-on Snowflake Development expertise to manage, optimize, and enhance our enterprise data warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience administering Snowflake, developing scalable data solutions, and working with ETL tools (Informatica) and Amazon Redshift in AWS environments. This role requires a combination of administration, performance tuning, data engineering, and cloud data warehouse expertise.
Key Responsibilities
  • Administer, configure, and maintain Snowflake environments across Development, QA, and Production.
  • Monitor Snowflake performance, optimize warehouses, storage, and query execution.
  • Design, develop, and optimize Snowflake databases, schemas, tables, views, and data pipelines.
  • Build and maintain Snowflake objects including:
    • Stored Procedures
    • Tasks
    • Streams
    • Snowpipe
    • Materialized Views
    • Secure Views
  • Develop complex SQL queries and optimize data models for analytical workloads.
  • Design and implement ELT/ETL processes using Informatica PowerCenter or Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS).
  • Integrate data from multiple sources including Amazon Redshift, relational databases, cloud storage, and APIs.
  • Perform data migration between Redshift and Snowflake while ensuring data quality and integrity.
  • Implement role-based security, access controls, masking policies, and governance within Snowflake.
  • Monitor system health, resource utilization, and cost optimization.
  • Automate administrative tasks using SQL, Python, or Shell scripting.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineers, BI Developers, Architects, and Business teams to deliver scalable data solutions.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and provide performance tuning recommendations.
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning, backup strategies, and environment management.
