Pay Range: $30/hr to $35/hr (On W2)

We are looking for a ?Instrumentation Technician? to join one of our Fortune 500 clients.

Job Summary:

This position provides specialized technical support services by performing any combination of complex or non-routine duties involving the selection and use of procedures and/or equipment in support of medical diagnostic instrument and/or reagent development and production.

Overtime will be available for weekends and evenings.

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system. \t
• Applies a high level of technical support in a specialized discipline using knowledge and theory of electronics; life science; chemistry; mechanics; software; etc. \t
• Understands and uses knowledge of other disciplines. Uses computer applications as needed for functional specialty. \t
• Advanced skills in computer hardware and /or software applications. \t
• Accepts non-routine and complex assignments. \t
• Follows established procedures Uses judgment and makes choices on how to proceed. \t
• Assignments often require creativity. \t
• Researches; recommends; and implements appropriate changes for process improvements. \t
• Uses information from within and/or outside the organization when necessary. \t
• Reads; understands and instructs others in the use of manuals; test procedures; and documentation associated with specialized equipment. \t
• Reads; interprets; and may create engineering drawings; schematics, and complex test procedures. \t
• Writes basic procedures and technical documents. \t
• Working knowledge and use of complex tools and equipment specific to functional areas. \t
• May use statistical; mathematical and other quantitative and qualitative methods and measurements. \t
• May create tools and fixtures specific to functional area. \t
• May work closely with engineers to execute product design. \t
• Constructs complex engineering prototypes; models and builds special test equipment. \t
• May perform testing on prototype electrical and/or mechanical designs. \t
• Conducts complex testing; analysis and troubleshooting. \t
• Conducts testing to determine effectiveness of product specifications. \t
• Complies to all safety standards and regulatory requirements.

• Uses factual information; policy and procedures to determine solutions with minimal supervision. \t
• Verifies experimental data for usefulness and accuracy. \t
• Impact on Operations/Effect of Errors: Tasks; activities and/or information used to make decisions which are in direct support of the department\'s primary function. \t
• Effect of errors may have significant impact in terms of time or money.

Education:

\t
• High school or equivalency is required. \t
• Associates degree; or equivalent experience; is required. \t
• Bachelors degree is preferred. \t
• Work requires the theoretical and conceptual knowledge associated with an Associates degree.

Minimum Experience/Training Required:

\t
• This position requires five or more years related technical experience. \t
• Training includes on the job training. \t
• Degree of physical effort and environment: Normal work fatigue. Normally safe environment. \t
• Typical electronic manufacturing/laboratory/office environment. \t
• Some work subject to frequent hand/eye coordination, lifting/carrying of objects or operating equipment. \t
• Work may be subject to moderately unpleasant conditions. (Applies to biohazard only.)
