Salary, overtime pay, benefits packages, paid vacation, sick and holiday leave and more
We are seeking a senior, client-facing Principal AI Solution Architect to support a strategic initiative in the Multifamily mortgage space. This role is ideal for someone who can help business and technology leaders determine where AI can deliver the greatest value, define practical starting points, and shape a realistic path from discovery to pilot to scaled adoption.
This is not a purely technical architecture role. It is also not a pure strategy role. The right person will combine executive advisory skills, business-process understanding, AI solution fluency, and practical delivery judgment. They will help guide priorities across areas such as fraud detection, post-close review, and document-heavy operational workflows, while ensuring solutions are governed, explainable, and business-ready.
What You Will Do
- Partner directly with senior business and technology stakeholders to understand priorities, pain points, and operational goals
- Lead workshops, discovery sessions, and solutioning discussions to identify where AI can deliver measurable value
- Help clients prioritize use cases across fraud detection, post-close review, underwriting support, and related document-heavy workflows
- Translate business challenges into practical AI solution options, including discovery engagements, pilots, phased roadmaps, and acceleration of work already underway
- Shape solution recommendations involving document intelligence, workflow support, anomaly detection, review prioritization, and decision support
- Define success metrics, pilot scope, and implementation sequencing
- Ensure recommendations reflect enterprise needs for governance, explainability, traceability, and human-in-the-loop decision-making
- Create executive-ready deliverables including strategy documents, roadmaps, recommendations, pilot plans, and presentations
- Work closely with business, delivery, engineering, and data teams to ensure solutions are realistic and executable
- Serve as a trusted advisor who brings confidence, clarity, and structure to a client that wants to move forward with AI but has not fully settled on direction
What We Are Looking For
- 10+ years of experience in solution architecture, enterprise consulting, AI strategy, intelligent automation, product strategy, or a closely related field
- Strong experience working directly with senior stakeholders in complex or regulated environments
- Demonstrated success helping clients define, prioritize, and shape AI / GenAI / automation initiatives
- Ability to connect business process, data realities, technology choices, governance needs, and operational adoption
- Strong knowledge of AI / GenAI use cases such as:
- document intelligence
- retrieval / RAG
- workflow assistance
- copilots / agents
- anomaly detection
- decision support
- Familiarity with enterprise AI governance concepts, including explainability, auditability, policy alignment, and human-in-the-loop design
- Excellent communication skills, including executive facilitation, workshop leadership, whiteboarding, and written recommendations
- Comfort operating in ambiguous environments where the client needs help determining the right starting point
Preferred Background
- Financial services, mortgage, lending, underwriting, audit, fraud, post-close review, or risk operations
- Experience with document-heavy review and operational workflows
- Experience designing pilots, phased rollout plans, and AI value measurement frameworks
- Consulting experience where trust, influence, and executive presence are critical
- Experience helping clients recover from unsuccessful or incomplete AI experiments and move toward more practical, governed adoption
What Success Looks Like In this role, you will help the client:
- clarify where AI should be applied first
- determine what is realistic and valuable
- define a practical discovery / pilot path
- align business and technology stakeholders
- establish success measures and decision criteria
- move forward with more confidence and less ambiguity
Why This Role Matters The client wants to use AI and sees real opportunity, but is still deciding where to focus, how sophisticated to be, and how to proceed in a way that is practical and low-risk. This role is central to turning that uncertainty into a clear, business-aligned path forward. That includes helping shape focused opportunities around fraud detection, post-close review, and governed AI-enabled operational support.
Education Bachelor’s degree required. Advanced degree in business, technology, engineering, analytics, or a related field is a plus.
