Network Architect

Job Description:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Architect to join their dynamic team. This role is critical for developing, deploying, and managing network infrastructures that support both operational and IT needs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading network design projects, evaluating new technologies, and acting as the highest escalation point for network-related issues. This position is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is looking to further their career in network architecture. This role is remote, and the candidate must be based in the Tulsa, OK area.  There may be some travel to the office and datacenter facilities required.

Responsibilities

• Gather requirements from various business units, Information Security, and IT/OT infrastructure groups.
• Lead the evaluation and selection of new technology vendors.
• Develop and implement new network designs and architectures, including LAN/WAN, firewall, load balancing, and wireless technologies.
• Create comprehensive design documentation, including as-built diagrams and descriptions of network standards and processes.
• Assist in preparing budget documentation and presentations for IT leadership.
• Act as the highest point of escalation for troubleshooting complex issues within the network infrastructure.
• Coordinate effectively with key stakeholders during the implementation of network changes.

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in networking, with at least three years leading network design projects.
• Professional or expert level certifications or an IT-related bachelor’s degree is highly preferred.
• Strong ability to work collaboratively on cross-functional teams and complete assigned tasks reliably.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively coordinating with technical peers and communicating with leadership.
• Experience in DMZ environments and solid technical knowledge of load balancers and firewalls.
• Proven track record in creating and deploying enterprise-wide network routing designs and Wi-Fi solutions.
• Experience with datacenter architecture involving VXLAN leaf/spine as well as traditional layer2 leaf/spine.
• Understanding of network programming technologies (Python, REST, GitHub, JSON, etc.) is a plus.
• Must reside in the Tulsa, OK area and be willing to travel as required for the role.
• Ability to work in well-lighted, climate-controlled areas and perform frequent repetitive motions.

Pay Range: $140,000 - $145,000 annually

This is a fully remote role and can be performed from an approved location.
