About the Role

We are seeking a Cyber Security Engineer II to join our Network Security Engineering team. This role is responsible for the deployment, administration, and optimization of enterprise security solutions, primarily focused on Palo Alto Networks technologies. The ideal candidate will have strong network security fundamentals, an understanding of cloud security principles, and the ability to support security initiatives across hybrid environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deploy, manage, and support Palo Alto firewalls, Panorama, and GlobalProtect VPN solutions.
  • Implement and maintain security policies, NAT/PAT, segmentation, and threat prevention controls.
  • Participate in security architecture reviews and support secure solution design across on-premises and cloud environments.
  • Troubleshoot complex network security issues and support incident response activities.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, application, and security teams to deliver secure business solutions.
  • Leverage automation, scripting, and AI-assisted tools to improve operational efficiency and security effectiveness.
  • Support change management, risk assessments, and security governance activities.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in Network Security or Cyber Security Engineering.
  • Hands-on experience with Palo Alto NGFW, Panorama, and GlobalProtect.
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, routing, VPN technologies, and network troubleshooting.
  • Experience implementing security policies, NAT, VPNs, and security profiles.
  • Knowledge of common cyber threats, attack techniques, and security best practices.
  • Understanding of ITIL processes, including incident and change management.

Preferred Skills

  • Basic understanding of Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform security concepts.
  • Exposure to cloud networking, IAM, Zero Trust, and hybrid connectivity models.
  • Knowledge of security architecture principles and defence-in-depth strategies.
  • Experience with PowerShell, Python, or infrastructure automation.
  • Awareness of AI-driven security operations, analytics, and automation capabilities.
