Role Overview

This position is responsible for leading and designing the electrical power distribution network and signal network for the auxiliary equipment of our Gas Turbine projects. Our voltage levels are primarily in the low-voltage side (600V and below) with implementation of equipment such as MCCs, Panelboards, LV Transformers, DC Systems and Batteries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop detailed electrical design documents including single-line diagrams, schematics, and schedules.
  • Perform calculations and sizing of electrical equipment, cables, and system components.
  • Prepare equipment specifications and support vendor selection and review processes.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure proper system integration and alignment.
  • Oversee electrical designers and provide mentorship to junior engineers.
  • Manage engineering deliverables and project schedules with minimal supervision.
  • Identify workflow inefficiencies and recommend process improvements.
  • Support manufacturing and commissioning activities with technical expertise.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial power distribution design (up to 600VAC and 220VDC); 7+ years preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC (NFPA 70) and industry standards (NEMA, IEC, IEEE, ISA, ANSI, UL, CSA).
  • Experience with electrical design tools such as ETAP, SmartPlant Electrical, SmartSketch, and SmartPlant 3D is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, multitasking, and communication skills.
