Cloud Security Architect

SAP is seeking a customer-facing Security Architect to serve as a trusted security advisor for customers utilizing the RISE Private Cloud environment. This role partners with customer security teams, technical stakeholders, and executive leadership to drive security strategy, operational excellence, and risk management across cloud-hosted SAP landscapes.

The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise in cloud security with strong consulting, communication, and presentation skills. They will lead discussions on privileged access management, vulnerability management, threat detection and response, monitoring, and security governance while translating complex security concepts into actionable business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the primary security advisor for customers operating within SAP RISE Private Cloud environments.
• Lead security architecture and operational security discussions with customer security teams, auditors, and executive leadership.
• Advise SAP customers on Privileged Identity Management (PIM/PAM) strategies for both human and non-human identities, including service accounts, machine identities, and privileged access workflows.
• Review and communicate with customers regarding their security posture, risks, and remediation plans related to cloud-hosted SAP environments.
• Update customers about threat detection and incident response capabilities of SAP and other related security technologies.
• Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to improve security monitoring, alerting, logging, and incident response processes.
• Develop and deliver executive-level security reports, dashboards, risk summaries, and security reviews.
• Present security metrics, trends, and recommendations to C-level executives, CISOs, security leadership, and technical stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity, cloud security, security architecture, or security consulting roles.
• Strong expertise in Privileged Access Management (PAM) and identity security for both human and machine identities.
• Experience with vulnerability management programs and risk remediation processes.
• Experience with SIEM, security monitoring, alerting, and incident response processes.
• Strong understanding of cloud security principles and enterprise infrastructure security.
• Excellent customer-facing, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven ability to create and present security reports and risk assessments to executive and technical audiences.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams in complex enterprise environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting SAP environments, ERP platforms, or managed cloud services.
• Understanding of RISE with SAP, private cloud operations, and SaaS/IaaS security models.
• Security certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CISM, or equivalent.
• Experience engaging directly with CISOs, security architects, auditors, and executive leadership teams
