Contract Length: 18 Months (Potential Extension or Conversion)

Pay Rate: $53 - $57/hour (OT40)
Top Requirements:

5+ years of Java development experience with strong Spring/Spring Boot expertise.

Experience developing modern front-end applications using React or Angular.

2+ years of Python development experience supporting data processing or automation initiatives.

Experience building and supporting microservices, APIs, and cloud-enabled applications.

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to learn quickly and contribute in a fast-paced Agile environment.

Plusses:

Experience with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).

Experience with OpenShift (OCP) and/or Kubernetes.

Experience with Spark and data pipeline development.

Exposure to AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot.

AML, Risk, Regulatory Reporting, or Financial Crimes technology experience.

Job Summary:

The Software Engineer 3 will support the Currency Transaction Reporting (CTR) Technology Team, which provides critical Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and regulatory reporting capabilities for the Risk organization. The team maintains and enhances a suite of five applications supporting transaction monitoring, customer reporting, integrations, and regulatory compliance.

This role will focus on the design, development, testing, deployment, and support of Java-based microservices, APIs, front-end applications, and data processing solutions. The engineer will contribute to application modernization initiatives, platform consolidation efforts, and cloud competency development while helping improve operational resiliency and engineering excellence across the CTR ecosystem.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Java/Spring Boot applications and microservices.
• Build and enhance front-end applications using React and/or Angular.
• Develop APIs and integration services supporting CTR and AML regulatory reporting processes.
• Support application consolidation efforts as multiple existing platforms are merged into a unified solution.
• Contribute to Python-based data processing, automation, and pipeline development activities.
• Participate in production support, incident resolution, and application stabilization efforts.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, and peer engineering teams to deliver strategic enhancements.
• Support CI/CD practices, modernization initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Assist with cloud adoption and deployment initiatives across Google Cloud Platform and other cloud-enabled platforms.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, and sprint planning activities.
• Help reduce technical debt and improve platform reliability and maintainability.
