AWS Cloud Architect / Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Cloud Architect / Engineer to design, implement, and optimize a modern cloud data and infrastructure platform. This role blends deep technical expertise with architectural leadership, hands-on engineering, and team mentorship.

Key Responsibilities

Architect and build scalable, secure, high-performance solutions on AWS.
Design and maintain cloud-based data pipelines and infrastructure for ingestion, transformation, and consumption.
Lead end-to-end development efforts including:
- Data integration from diverse systems
- ETL/ELT processing and automation
- API and streaming data delivery
Collaborate with architecture, security, and application teams to ensure alignment with enterprise standards.
Mentor engineering teams on AWS best practices, design patterns, and emerging technologies.
Embed governance, compliance, and security principles across all solutions.
Engage with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical architecture.
Stay current with AWS service enhancements and evolving cloud trends.

Qualifications

Strong programming proficiency in Python and SQL.
Deep expertise with the AWS ecosystem, including services such as S3, Redshift, Aurora, Lambda, Glue, Step Functions, Kinesis, MSK, and EMR.
Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise-grade AWS architectures.
Solid understanding of data engineering concepts and technologies (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, PySpark).
Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT frameworks and workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Glue Workflows, Step Functions).
Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Git, and CI/CD pipelines).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues.
Thorough knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance in cloud environments.
Demonstrated success in mentoring teams and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
10+ years of progressive experience in cloud engineering, data engineering, or infrastructure architecture.

Technical Proficiency

Expert-level skills in Python, AWS cloud services, and modern data engineering frameworks.
