AWS Cloud Architect / Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Cloud Architect / Engineer to design, implement, and optimize a modern cloud data and infrastructure platform. This role blends deep technical expertise with architectural leadership, hands-on engineering, and team mentorship.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and build scalable, secure, high-performance solutions on AWS.

  • Design and maintain cloud-based data pipelines and infrastructure for ingestion, transformation, and consumption.

  • Lead end-to-end development efforts including:

    • Data integration from diverse systems

    • ETL/ELT processing and automation

    • API and streaming data delivery

  • Collaborate with architecture, security, and application teams to ensure alignment with enterprise standards.

  • Mentor engineering teams on AWS best practices, design patterns, and emerging technologies.

  • Embed governance, compliance, and security principles across all solutions.

  • Engage with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical architecture.

  • Stay current with AWS service enhancements and evolving cloud trends.

Qualifications

  • Strong programming proficiency in Python and SQL.

  • Deep expertise with the AWS ecosystem, including services such as S3, Redshift, Aurora, Lambda, Glue, Step Functions, Kinesis, MSK, and EMR.

  • Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise-grade AWS architectures.

  • Solid understanding of data engineering concepts and technologies (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, PySpark).

  • Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT frameworks and workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Glue Workflows, Step Functions).

  • Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Git, and CI/CD pipelines).

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues.

  • Thorough knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance in cloud environments.

  • Demonstrated success in mentoring teams and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in cloud engineering, data engineering, or infrastructure architecture.

Technical Proficiency

  • Expert-level skills in Python, AWS cloud services, and modern data engineering frameworks.
