Job Description:
In the role of a Lead Consultant, you will be working as an SME of Warehouse Control Systems / Warehouse Execution Systems (WCS/WES) within a highly automated distribution center. This role is responsible for providing endtoend functional and technical leadership, including system analysis, solution design, code development, testing, deployment, and steadystate operational support. You will contribute to business pursuit initiatives, client training, and in-house capability building. You will be interfacing with clients' IT and Business teams to discuss technical and functional solution topics, process definitions, improvement ideas, and managing client interactions. This role offers the opportunity to shape highvalue WCS/WES solutions that help our clients meet evolving operational and global business demands.
Must have Skills:
Candidate needs to work onsite from the client warehouse locations in Palmetto, GA, USA and McDonough, GA, USA.
Candidate needs to have a minimum of 10+ years of Total IT experience.
Preferably 5 years of SMElevel experience in Warehouse Control Systems (WCS) / Warehouse Execution Systems (WES) applications such as Mantissa Merlin, Dematic WCS, and KNAPP WCS.
More than 5 years of experience working on Production Support Projects with strong hands-on experience in Incident Management, Problem Management, and Change Management areas.
Should be able to handle P1/P2 production support issues competently.
Should be willing to provide On-Call support for critical issues during non-business hours.
Preferably, exposure to VB.NET and C# programming languages
Exposure on Microsoft SQL Server Standard (64bit) 2019 and Windows Server 2016 Standard (10.0).
Good knowledge and understanding of warehouse automation components, such as sorters, conveyors, scanners, scale systems, and material handling equipment.
Experience with system integration involving WMS, WCS, and MHE automation hardware (message queues, APIs, socket communication, host interfaces).
Well-versed with Warehouse Operation process flow (Inbound, Outbound, Inventory Management).
Experience in providing solutions for bugs and enhancements.
Experience in trouble shooting skills and proposing permanent solutions for the WCS operational and application issues.
Maintain detailed documentation, including solution designs, SOPs, interface specifications, troubleshooting guides, and RCA reports.
Should have the ability to come up with a system design to fulfill the client's project requirements.
Familiarity with SDLC processes, configuration management, and deployment methodologies.
Experience of working in an onsite-offshore model and coordinating with 24X7 offshore support team.
Manage daily, weekly, and monthly status reporting, ensuring clear communication and alignment with project objectives.
Ability to work independently, with minimal coaching/mentoring.
Should be able to coordinate with project teams and client stakeholders to plan, execute, and monitor project milestones.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, High analytical skills, and high customer orientation.
Good to have Skills:
Experience of WMS domain
Experience of working for retail clients.
Experience of working on Manhattan WMS product versions like iSeries/WMOS/Active.
Knowledge of Linux/Unix Scripting
Experience in performance tuning, system optimization, and analyzing throughput or flow metrics.
Strong database skills, including SQL queries and scripting, query optimization, and managing operational data.
