Overview

The CRM Architect is responsible for designing and governing enterprise CRM solutions across life sciences organizations, primarily leveraging Salesforce Health Cloud and Veeva CRM/Vault. This role provides strategic and technical leadership to ensure scalable, compliant solutions supporting commercial, medical, and patient services functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and lead CRM architecture strategy across Salesforce and/or Veeva platforms
  • Design scalable solutions supporting HCP engagement, MSL workflows, MLR processes, and patient services programs
  • Translate business requirements into end-to-end architecture, data models, and integration frameworks
  • Lead solution design for complex integrations (e.g., marketing automation, data lakes like Snowflake/Databricks, third-party vendors)
  • Establish and enforce architecture standards, governance, and best practices
  • Ensure compliance with GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, and data privacy regulations (HIPAA, GDPR)
  • Oversee environment strategy, release management, and DevOps processes
  • Partner with business stakeholders (Commercial Ops, Medical Affairs, QA, IT) to align CRM capabilities with business goals
  • Provide technical oversight for configuration, customization, and development teams
  • Conduct solution reviews, performance optimization, and technical risk assessments

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in CRM architecture, solution design, or enterprise systems
  • Deep expertise in Salesforce (Sales/Service/Health Cloud) and/or Veeva CRM/Vault
  • Strong understanding of life sciences business processes (commercial operations, MLR, medical affairs, patient services)
  • Experience designing complex integrations (APIs, middleware, data platforms)
  • Knowledge of regulated environments (GxP validation, audit readiness)
  • Proven ability to lead client-facing architecture discussions and delivery teams
  • Experience working in onshore/nearshore global delivery models

Preferred Qualifications

  • Salesforce certifications (Application/System Architect, Technical Architect preferred)
  • Veeva certification(s) across CRM/Vault domains
  • Experience with data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks) and analytics tools (Power BI)
  • Familiarity with ComplianceWire, AgileLoft, or QA/regulatory systems
  • Experience in consulting or managed services engagements
  • Knowledge of Agile, SAFe, and DevOps frameworks
