Position OverviewWe are seeking a part-time, onsite Tier 1 IT Support Specialist to serve as the primary point of contact for local IT support in a growing, fast-paced fintech environment. Based in Boulder, CO, this individual will play a critical role in maintaining seamless IT operations as support responsibilities transition from a closing office location.
You will support approximately 30 onsite employees while also contributing to the broader U.S. workforce of around 200 users. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on, customer-facing environment and is comfortable operating autonomously as the sole onsite IT presence.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the first line of IT support for tickets, walk-ups, and remote user requests
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and user access issues across multiple platforms
- Provide primary support for MacOS environments, with additional support for Windows and Chromebooks
- Manage user accounts and permissions using Entra ID and Google Workspace
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including device provisioning and access setup
- Troubleshoot printers, Wi-Fi connectivity, VPN access, and basic network issues
- Manage and maintain endpoints using Microsoft Intune or equivalent MDM tools
- Document support activities and resolutions within the ticketing system (e.g., Jira Service Management)
- Escalate complex technical issues to appropriate teams when necessary
Required Qualifications (Must Have Skills)- Experience providing Tier 1 Help Desk or Desktop Support
- Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, endpoints, and operating systems
- Hands-on experience supporting MacOS environments (primary focus)
- Working knowledge of Windows OS support
- Familiarity with basic networking concepts (Wi-Fi, VPN, DNS)
- Experience with printer and peripheral support
- User account provisioning and access management experience
- Endpoint/device management experience (Microsoft Intune or similar tools)
- Excellent communication and strong customer service mindset
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and Google Workspace administration
- Experience with Jira Service Management or similar ticketing platforms
- Knowledge base documentation experience
- Familiarity with collaboration tools such as Slack
- CompTIA A+ or Network+ certifications (or equivalent experience)
Project Impact & Key Initiatives- Office Transition Support: Play a key role in stabilizing IT operations during the transition from a closing office, ensuring uninterrupted support
- End-User Productivity: Provide hands-on, responsive IT support to minimize downtime and improve employee experience
- Onsite IT Ownership: Establish a strong onsite IT presence in Boulder, acting as the go-to resource for all technical needs
- Modern Tool Adoption: Support and optimize enterprise tools such as Intune, Entra ID, and Google Workspace
- Scalable Support Model: Contribute to a broader IT support strategy that effectively serves both onsite and remote employees

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $29.00/hr.
