Job Title: Software Engineer (Power Systems)

Location: Carmel, IN (Remote)

Role Summary

Software Engineer for STABLE project. Focus on automating outage coordination analysis workflows, integrating data from EMS/PI/CIMSpy, supporting VSAT/TSAT studies, and developing GUI tools.

Must-Have Skills

Strong coding skills (Python, Tkinter for GUI)
Deep knowledge of power system stability studies
Experience with VSAT and TSAT tools
Integration and data ingestion from EMS, PI, CIMSpy, CROW
Ability to automate workflows and batch processing
Reporting and visualization (dashboards, maps)
GUI development and modular software design

Nice-to-Have Skills

Case conversion between .RAW and .PFB with HVDC fidelity
Security constraint-based redispatch and load forecasting (SDX)
Node-Breaker model compatibility
Proxy constraint identification
Interface risk identification
Advanced study type expansion
