Title: Data Engineer
Location: Remote ((Florida & Texas options available))
Role Overview
The Data Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality data products that support Client’s regulatory, risk, and business intelligence needs. This role requires strong expertise in data architecture, cloud platforms, and big data frameworks to deliver scalable and reliable solutions
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and support scalable, extensible, and highly available data solutions aligned with Citibank’s architectural vision.
- Design and implement ETL pipelines using PySpark, Databricks, and AWS services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (business analysts, data scientists, compliance teams) to deliver data-driven solutions.
- Ensure data quality, governance, and compliance with banking regulations.
- Identify and mitigate risks in the data supply chain.
- Contribute to technical standards and best practices for data engineering.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong programming skills in Python, PySpark, and SQL.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
- Expertise in Databricks, Hadoop, or similar big data frameworks.
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and BI tools.
- Experience in data migration, profiling, and large-scale data handling.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in financial services or banking domain.
- Familiarity with regulatory reporting requirements (Basel, CCAR, etc.).
- Exposure to machine learning pipelines and advanced analytics.
